Last weekend Micah and I had the privilege of heading out to Ohio for the premiere of "Bringing Up Bobby", a film I worked on during January of 2008.  There was a great turnout for the screening (over 400 people), and even though I'd already seen the film it was still great to watch it in a large crowd and hear the laughs.  And LAUGHS there were!  The film is by far the funniest and cleanest Christian comedy I've ever watched.  If you haven't seen "Bringing Up Bobby" I'd highly recommend you check it out at: www.bringingupbobby.com

Last week was what you might call "the beginning of the end" for the production phase of "The Penny".  Actually, a more literal terminology might be "the beginning at the end" as we pulled within one and a half scenes of 100% filming completion by shooting the opening two scenes of the film. 

This was some fun shooting as it involved some more action oriented scenes than much of the rest of the film.  We had a great location to use as well thanks to the generosity of a local business that allowed us to film on their property after our first location fell through.  In the end we realized why God caused that first location to fall through as this one worked out MUCH better.

The final two days of shooting will take place the end of this month.  In the meantime I'm busy editing in the new scenes captured during the most recent pickup shoot and continuing to refine the existing ones.  Another version of the edit should be complete soon as we continue to push forward in post-production even while still wrapping up production.

The coming months will be an exciting time for Filmweavers, and we hope you're looking forward to seeing the finished product as we are!

Well it's been a long almost week since we've heard any word from our secret contact close to the FW crew. Details are certainly sketchy, but we've there's seems to be a good chance that FW is saving all the "pickup shooting" for the very last day rather than string it out over the entire week of shooting. Something about it being more efficient to work without sleep or meals interfering and the weather... Several BTS photos have emerged on various sites on the internet and we were able to save them before the sites went down under mysterious circumstances.
